Last years Rockin Road Festival 2017 was the 8th outing for this fun filled family day of music, Vintage scooters, bikes and cars with lots to occupy the young too. HUGE bouncy castle array, horse & carriage rides, market stall with lots to see and buy and see. In the peaceful surroundings of the National Education Centre for Blind People on Gracepark Road Drumcondra there is plenty of space to spread out and relax and for the kids to play safely. But the one thing that makes this so successful is the blend of people who return to make it fun….ordinary people who want to do a little good and have the craic.

This years festival needed to be rescheduled due to bad weather earlier in the year and it is on this Sunday, August 19 2018. Bands playing include Hooligan and Knocking Shop who gave us a nice interview last year.

To date they’ve raised in the region of €105,000 which has been spent on equipment for the students & children who use the services of Childvision….and who are short changed by successive governments be they FF or FG.

As the organisers say – “Its us the ordinary people who make the difference”. In my mind we are not the ordinary but you get the point
