The Tuts have formed a supergroup under the name ‘Solidarity Not Silence’ alongside members of Petrol Girls, Colour Me Wednesday, Personal Best AND with a feature from Kathleen Hanna of Bikini Kill.
The song is available on all platforms and is a benefit for Solidarity Not Silence. Basically Solidarity Not Silence is a group of Women defending themselves against defamation claim made by man in music industry for statements that they made concerning his treatment of women. The group includes ex partner and feminist musicians.
The case has been ongoing since the statements were made in 2016. Defamation cases don’t count towards Legal Aid so the Group need to fund their own defence, potentially bankrupting themselves. There is a crowdfunding campaign and also merch available from the bandcamp page
