An Slua / Red Bricks / The Uncouth / Reckless Upstarts
“Intercontinental Oi!”
4 bands, 12 songs on this true collection of unity across street punk scenes.
Red Bricks from Hamburg have a Partisans feel. Their three songs take on topics such as Greed in Society, fighting fascists and those who may feel like their King of the scene but have very little to offer to support.
The Uncouth are from Kansas and speed things up a bit. There street punk brings the aggression stakes up a notch or 2. You’re Gonna Get The Shit Kicked out of you they say to their enemies. The tunes are still there deep down with Running around in circles being a fast punk rock ditty.
Irelands An Slua weigh in with 3 mid paced songs from the streets. Reminiscent of an Irish version of consent rejects at their bad man phase the four piece rattle along here
Reckless Upstarts from Canada aren’t Angelic in any way with their nod to Bootboy era. Great to see this international comp seeing the light of day. By the end of it you will be nodding along, searching for your strength thru Oi album and wondering where have all the female musicians gone.
