Brazilian Punk Supla has been playing in punk rock bands for a very long time, including a spell with Sex Pistol Glenn Matlock. He has assembled a backing band now for this rock’n’roll powehouse. Interesting sounds for Dublin in Soundhouse on a Monday evening. The following night Kneecap pay their first of 2 sold out shows in the Olympia. Irish speaking rappers Kneecap have been loud and proud from stage and no doubt this will be no different. Friday night sees the Buddycore Christmas Special. Eddie has been busy with these free monthly gigs, showcasing all is good in Irish punk. He always brings a selection of bands from the provinces and tonight is no different with Deadbeats MO making the journey from way out west, Somehow Sentient from Belfast, Cork street punk band Easy Company, Von Loop from bangor. Special guests tonight are Alicante Punks Llamando A Julia. Very impressive.
Damien Dempsey starts his annual run of Christmas gigs in Vicar Street on Saturday, the same night as Wup Chow in the Thomas House and The Blades annual shindig in the Academy. Xylouris White + Brighde Chaimbeul are bringing their sweetsound of avant garde guitar noise to the Workmans Club.
