This Weeks gigs in Dublin
Rise Against, from California, are paying a nice Monday night visit to our shores on Monday evening. In June of this year they released their 6th melodic hardcore record continuing in the lyrical vein promoting animal rights and positivity.
On the same night the very interesting Eugene Chadbourne is in town. He is doing a book signing at 6 in
Experimental folk artist, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Sam Amidon is in Whelans on Tuesday 7th November but the real folk is in Bello Bar that night with Anna and Elizabeth. They describe themselves as “Their show is like no other. The Little Museum of Dublin is a great place for a historical look at our Capital City. it does the odd gig and one of these is Canadia electronic experimental artist Sarah Devachi.
Fibbers is flying the punk flag again this week with a couple of gigs Black Pitts, Kiss My Acid, The Vulpynes, Krokodil DC on Thursday and Hamburg Ramones, Deaf Kidneys, The Nilz and The Turn the following night
Saturday sees New York legends The Dictators in DBD vennue. Around the corner in the Button Factory Wicklow Post Rock noise legends God Is An Astronaut will take to the stage.
Finally Pete Holidai has been doing a lot of collobarations lately. His Radiators from Space re-relased their TV Tube Heart album to celebrate its 40th Anniversary earlier in the year. his current band, Trouble Pilgrims, released their new lp recently. He appeared with Paranoid Visions at the Dublin rebellion festival as well as sharing a double bill with punk legend tv smith. He is performing on Sunday as part of art disruptor with the O’Snodaigh brothers from Kila
