One big gig in Dublin this week is the tribute to David Berman.
David Berman, pavement hero of the Silver Jews and the comeback king of Purple Mountains, passed on August 7.
He left behind a corduroy suit made of a hundred gutters, jagged skylines of car keys, 50,000 beer cans and a wild kindness.
Join our crack band with Adrian Crowley, Steve Windings, Maija Sofia, Eileen Gogan, The Former Soviet Republic, Skelocrats, members of Shrug Life and Oh Boland, Patrick Freyne and Anna Carey, and probably more to raise another 50,000 beers in his memory, and we’ll let his songs sing out in the wild silence one more time. All proceeds to Aware.
