Play of the day – daughters
A Dark harrowing 58 minute journey. Long intros that get inside your head with a spit of disdain. The rhythms are slightly jarring which only helps add to the unease when listening. You won’t be bopping nicely around the kitchen whilst listening to this record but if you turn the volume up it would certainly help with the hoovering.
The noise is hammering at times veering into an industrial zone as the alt-rhythms bang away hammerlike into your system.
I’m sure live it will be some spectacle tomorrow night in the Button Factory
