I’ve always had an uncomfortable relationship with metal music. Punk is my background and there’s certainly similarities at times in the crossover of styles. High pitched vocals and guitar solos did nothing for me so may of the 80’s metal completely passed my by but when and started being a bit clever it piqued my interest. I still view it in my narrow mindedness as a bit of boys club which means I don’t seek out new bands. Men with long hair staring beyond cameras and looking mean is not going to make me want to listen to them. However if the band is Irish and they are releasing their first ep in 7 years my interest is piqued. All the more so when it is being pushed almost single-handed by one person.
Yep 7 years have elapsed since their last collection and this is a melodic death metal reminiscent of paradise Lost. Check it out here
