A Movable feast
Ernest Hemingway
Vintage Books
This is a collection of stories as a memoir from Ernest Hemingway. These stories all come from an unremarkable time spent in Paris. Unremarkable in that not a lot seemed to happen other than drinking coffee and strong drinks, some writing and lots of talking.
Paris in those days was a magnet for the arts so people like James Joyce and Scott Fitzgerald are casually name checked throughout.
All written in a lovely prose that makes me kind of wish something did happen, that way you would be sucked into the whole book. A great introduction to the Hemingway style
