This weeks big news on the punk rock gig front is the return of Conflict to Dublin. They are one of those bands that spark reaction, manly controversy but their raging full on anarcho punk haas been to the core since they first started in the 80’s. A hugely influential band in their day Conflict continue to blaaze a trail. And an added bonus for DUblin punks is the news that the Lee Harveys have now been added to the already sold out bill.
Frustrating in that there’s a clash on the night with a Hardcore gig in the soundhouse. The Winter Passing are playing with Frustration in a benefit for MASI Ireland. A wonderful cause
Just Mustard have just released a new record and are getting a lot of Kudos, The Dundalk 5 piece are on Dimple Discs record which is pickong up a lot of good Irish stuff. Foggy Notions gig of the week has to be the return of TFS (or Tropical Fuck Storm as they are known in no PG circles). It really is a joyful noise whenn they play live so if you get a chance you know what to do.
