Friday night is the night of the clashes - Jaya The Cat are bringing their Dutch/American reggae/ska/punk rock to the Grand Social : Protomartyr have the garage post punk sound sewn up in the Button Factory, Chuck Ragan has his punk folk acoustic Hot Water Music in Whelans while the Undertones will have the original punk pop tunes in the Academy. All in one night. Dublin you're cosmopliatan.

This Weeks Dublin Gigs Mar 1 – 7
The calendar is filling up as plays, comedy nights and gigs return. Saturday night alone this week has you spoiled for choice. TenPastSeven and Shifting are launching their albums together in Bello Bar. It's their first chance to launch their respective records. Also that night is A Night of Songs and Stories which is a fund raiser for the campaign to keep Shelbourne FC in Tolka Park. For Those I love got many warranted positive reviews last year and here is a chance to hear some of those songs first hand from Dave Balfe. Oski Bravo will also be playing a set along with some guest speakers. It promises to be a cracker in the Button Factory. If that wasn't enough you also have a chance to see the newly renamed Gilla Band blow the roof of Whelans
