Hope Collective and Irish Pop Archive have a new project underway. Following on from the launch of Punks Listen the fanzine in Little Whelans in November we are looking to document the origins of the punk scene in Dublin in Little Whelans

Punks Listen Launch Night

The launch of the Punks Listen fanzine In aid of the Irish Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal took place in Little Whelan’s, Wexford St, Dublin on Monday 18 November - admission was free but the fanzine was €10.

So it’s the night before the day when the maddest collection of musicians, punks, vagabonds and those on the outside of whatever it is they feel they aren’t part of, come together for their annual celebration in the tatty seaside town that is Blackpool.

I was delighted for Hope Collective to be part of We Shall Overcome festival. Over €2,000 was raised for Aoibhneas and the Saol Project, thank you to all the bands and those who volunteered to make it such a success
