Sealed are doing such a good job in keeping bands on our radar. Bands that deserve longer term recognition and could easily get washed away in the mileu of new music that is being released.
Rudimentary Peni are such a band. For me Crass and the outpouring of music that came from it’s extended stable was pretty much all interesting but Peni stood out from the crowd. They forced you to listen to them, always a little bit uncomfortable and unsure. Nick Blinkos art was always a joy as you could examine it while the music was on and find something new each time.
This record has a slightly different guitar sound but it still brings 10 slabs of mesmeric speedy punk rock. Punk rock historians need this in their collection and the rest of us need to hear it too.
