6 years since their last record and it’s all over in 16 minutes. Fast guitars ala Ramones being played at breakneck speed. Snotty lyrics delivered with timing and panache. These are tunes for you to jump around your bedroom too. Short sharp shocks to the sense and every one of the 11 tracks is a banger.
Everybody falls off the rails for a little while is one line that resonates with me. Life takes us to these speed bumps and it’s how we navigate them that really matters. Dark thoughts will help navigate us through the dark times.
The acoustic guitar comes out for Don’t Be Lonesome. A heartfelt plea for you not to be scared if you are in a dark place.
I saw these a few years ago in Brighton and it is etched into my memory. This is a continuation of that explosiveness – blink and you’ll miss them but hopefully for your sake your blinking days are done.
