Venn is putting together a very impressive roster. Home to Meryl Streek, Split Dogs and Aerial Salad among others it is putting together bands spitting out observations on the world to a rhythm moving from Meryls angry dance punk to Bratakus double sister onslaught.
Hagridden as an adjective may relate to someone who is tormented by anxiety it is a symptom of surrounding and Bratakus are ready to sing about it. It’s equal parts anger and melody. This is punk rock from the late 80’s snarling and tuneful.
Straight from the highlands of Scotland with a family steeped in political punk rock Bréagha and Onnagh Cuinn were possibly destined to be in a band. They have been together over a decade sine their initial 2 piece riotous teenage days. It’s great to see a band developing and still as angry as they grow into a world where so many things just don’t make sense.
