JODIE FASTER vs CORRUPT VISION
Split 7″
TNS / Trust The Hype

French melodic fastcore outfit Jodie Faster meets Southern California anti-ska crew Corrupt Vision on a single slab 7″ out now

After touring across Southern California together last Autumn, both bands hit it off and decided to share a split record together. Both bands bring fast, politically charged hardcore punk to this split with a total of 8 songs with a combined runtime of under four minutes and thirty seconds. This is the first original recording from Corrupt Vision since their 2021 LP release “These Hands of Mine” and Jodie Faster’s first record since their 2020 LP release “Blame Yourself”.

Hailing from Orange County, California, Corrupt Vision was formed in 2016 by high school best friends and No Time Records founders Tommy “Thomas” Smith and Fern Aguilar. After multiple line-up changes, Corrupt Vision has emerged as a 5 piece behemoth mixing skacore upstrokes with crushing power violence breakdowns. Described as Pig Destroyer meets Choking Victim by Brooklyn Vegan, Corrupt Vision has set themselves apart by blending their own mix of ska, grind, and powerviolence called “Anti-Ska”. Matching the intensity of their music are blunt, straight-to-the-point lyrics ranging from topics like the rise of fascism in their hometown of Orange County to being unapologetically and loudly pro-trans and queer. CV continues to garner an underground following and is excited to push more in the near future with more touring and even more music.

Formed in Lille, France, in late 2016, Jodie Faster is a fast hardcore, political punk quartet. Playing furious and frantic songs about modern life, oppression systems, life on the road and punk ethos, the band has released their first EP Complete Discography in 2017, then a split EP with Rouen’s Genital Jiggling 666 Cups of Black Coffee in 2018, before launching their debut album Blame Yourself on TNSrecords, alongside many other labels. They’ve toured Europe and UK several time, did videos, met some great people around, promote gigs in their hometown, played many great festivals (Manchester Punk Fest, Fluff fest, Xtreme Fest, Ieper Hardcore Fest to name a few), seen a lot of killing bands and personal idols, told some good jokes & some botched ones, crossed some borders easily and other less easily… Often sad, always funny, the band tries to spread some rage and some love around.

This split is some of the most intense and frantic music either band has ever released, Jodie Faster with songs about the pain of growing up and arguing with bigots, as well as a quick song about a friend in just about two minutes where Corrupt Vision tackles the horrors of war, self-harm, suicide, and body image issues all under two and a half minutes.

This 7″ is an international co-release between No Time Records (US), TNSrecords (UK), Don’t Trust The Hype Recordz (FR) and Loner Cult Records (BE) with every label offering an exclusive color variant of the record.
