There’s something about guitar solos that gets under my skin. It is my punk rock schooling. I came into this via my brothers record collection. Metal wasn’t on my road so high pitched vocals and guitar solos were to be avoided for the safe up keeping of my aural pleasure.

That has mellowed out after all these years but when a band starts a song with a guitar solo I worry. When that solo is the introduction to a record I worry. Thankfully it didn’t last too long and Germanys Melonball went less mad ball and more bad religion as the songs progress. It’s music to skate along to, or if you’re my vintage to watch skate videos to.

“It’s at least comforting and often even life-saving to know that you’re not alone, that you’re not the only person feeling overwhelmed by injustice, abuse of power and all the shit that happens everywhere, but that you’re among like-minded people who share the same attitude and morals.”
