The long Knives
The Long Knives
Sounding like they have brought a Sons of Southern Ulster album and travelled back in time to the West Coast Hardcore scene of the 80’s there is something very appealing in the Long Knives. There are very interesting song titles and arrangements here. Any band that has a song title “Not every Band Can Be the replacements” has to be given some Kudos.
It all kicks off with No More Public Displays of Rage which Rages for 52 seconds in an ironic way. All the songs come across as stories, tales from the world of the long knives. Oddly enough I’m reminded of Suicidal tendencies at times but more through the vocals and especially with the low in the mix backing vocals during Stuck Inide of Boston.
Hard to pigeon hole but very much appealing
